Our Neighborhood
Elmhurst is centrally located between both New York Airports and close to Midtown Manhattan in Central Queens. Primarily, a middle-class residential/commercial area, its most famous resident was Carroll O'Connor - best knows as TV's "Archie Bunker". Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was also raised here.
Queens Boulevard is the major roadway running east/west and offers a wide variety of services and shopping. Two large Malls, Queens Center and Queens Place Mall, provide over 100 stores, featuring major franchises, food courts and boutiques.
The variety and quality of local cuisines are a frequent subject of Newspaper and Magazine articles (NY Times, Time Out New York). Each explore the remarkable selection of restaurants from South American to Asian to European and even Tibetan Yak. Broadway and Roosevelt Avenues are a food lovers paradise sure to delight the curious gourmet in you.
